I want this house
on the river
with a nice view
and privacy so I can drink my coffee
on the balcony
in my robe
and you can come over
and I will serve blueberry muffins
with melted butter
we can watch the kids run and jump
on the lawn
and their laughter will
bubble up to meet us
and the dogs will splash in the creek
and we will laugh and shake our heads
and talk about the mess
the abundance, the cup that runnieth over
that is our blessed life
it's a good thing we don't need the house, or
the river, or even the dog to
feel the blessing from God that is our life
A beautiful post my friend, and that house is just ..... dreamy .... but you're right, we don't need it to know our blessings! (Maybe just for a weekend!) Heavenly! And as I've said before, how I would love to have a cup of coffee (and blueberry muffins with melted butter) with you in real life and watch our kids play!
